Honesty is out of style**

by Courtney   Dec 18, 2004

Honesty is out of style
So feed me soothing lies
I seem to be happier this way
I live for my demise

But I’m quickly growing tired
Of these useless indecisions
Life is just a moment
Of rushing, darkened visions

I live my life dying
Unembraced, I seem to fade
But the smile remains plastered
Abiding a cynical charade

My soul is but a bulletin board
Echoing my inner pain
Under my skin, a true identity
a child running away

We come to the closing stages
I have suffocated on the truth
Reality has taken my hand
This secret, a shrinking noose
