An Encounter with the Known

by Ð맆îñ¥   Dec 18, 2004

(The purpose of life is to fight maturity.) the spell checker would not allow me to write the guys name, sorry.

All through my life I’ve been fighting.
A battle I never can win.
My sole purpose to age ungraciously
And never give in.

Everyday brings a losing battle
As I use all my effort to stand still.
But even so pushed forward,
And always against my will.

I cannot order the retreat
When I do the words come out ‘Charge’.
I hurtle through my years even faster.
I cannot move backwards.

All through my life I’ll be fighting.
A battle I always will lose.
Ageing graciously is never an option
Until finally I will give in.
