The shadow

by Jacqui Armstrong   Dec 18, 2004

The sky was dark the air was cold
The moon shun white the sea glistened gold
The shadow moved from left to right
Then slowly disappeared out of sight

Through the window a light appeared
A sudden bang the blood was smeared
The light switched off a door-clicked shut
So eerie was that dark little hut

The sky was dark the street was dead
The moon shun white the sea glistened red
The shadow moved from right to left
It was a crime that ended in death
