Angel Flying with a Broken Heart

by Unseen Exposure   Dec 19, 2004

It felt like you took my heart from my chest
While it was still beating and alive
Carved it with a dagger
As I prayed I wouldn't survive

Twisted the blade around my heart
Inflicted me with immoral pain
Squeezed the blood, the love
From every throbbing vein

Watched as it withered and wrinkled
And placed it back in my chest
Then the black disease emerged-
Let loose, to then infest

And as my wound disappeared
The deadliness inside started to kill
Piece by piece, my broken soul
My strength, determination, and will

While I laid there on that table
Of broken hearts and shattered dreams
You ignored my pleads, my cries
My excruciating, painful screams

Your evilness inside you
Turned your ego evil and too proud
And so, without second thought
You severed my being, and used a shroud

You covered up your dirty work
And left me inside my broken self, to die
But what you missed, when you walked away
This angel girl, did fly

I'm sure we all know what it's like to suffer from a broken heart of the worst kind ...
