Black Rose

There is hidden beauty in the darkest rose
A flower never looked at for its color
Thought to represent evil and hate
Look closer at this forgotten flower
And look at its hidden beauty
It’s rareness and it’s mystery

It has been abandoned and beaten
Abused and forgotten
Thought to be cold and alone
Yet from my eyes
This flower is the most beautiful
Rare and beautiful with a past less appeasing

It stands out from the rest
Yet it always tried to blend in
And always tried to be forgotten
It nearly succeeded but it forgot one thing
And that one thing is me
That darkness that flower shows
Is the most appeasing to me

The pain it feels always brings me closer
The souls it possesses mingles with my own
And it forms a bond with this lonely flower
And when this rose is in bloom
My breath is always taken away
There isn’t much this flower will show you
But when it’s in bloom you can see everything on the inside

But this poor black rose has been beaten so much
It has forgotten its own beauty and grace
It has forgotten the happiness of the world
And is obsessed with the pain it feels
Its pain brings me even closer
I want to mend this flower of pain
And bring out its beauty one more time
