Broken Cries

by Unseen Exposure   Dec 21, 2004

Consumed in the darkness of a terrible fate
A reoccurring dream that says I'm much too late

Staring down the monster of depression it's own
Making me tremble every breaking, hollow bone

Walking through a dark tunnel with no light at all
Running face forward, straight into a brick wall

Trapped inside a glass case, for all the world to see
The dehumanized version of what this life came to be

Trying to hide from anything that passes by
Fighting hard to keep this face silent, not to cry

Take a picture of my broken self, and laugh as you may
Expose the painful vision of a girl in such dismay

Chuckle all the while, stare beyond the sadness of my eyes
Listen to these screaming words, and you'll hear the broken cries...
