Waiting

by Ð맆îñ¥   Dec 29, 2004

I’m waiting,
Waiting for the angels to take me,
Waiting in this semi darkness
For those watchers to come.

The pain from my wounds has seeped away,
Away with my life, my blood.

Why do they delay?
I am ready to leave.
I have nothing to live for.
My body is broken.

Waiting for the flutter of angelic wings
But I hear only a whisper of leaves.

Waiting, alone in my cemetery,
Waiting until I die.
My eyes do not droop.
I’m awake,
Staring out at the stars,
Glaring at those invisible beings.

Where are you angels?
I’m waiting.
