Absent Friends

by Ð맆îñ¥   Dec 31, 2004

Where are you friends,
In my hour of need?
I’m trapped in here
And you’re nowhere to be seen.

Not one took notice when I gave out a scream.
Not one came to see
When I turned and fled.
Not one came to help me.

You all said you’d never leave me
After everything last year.
You tried to make me better
Not a clue, that was clear.

How could you understand?
If you are never here.
The only words you ever offer
Are never of good cheer.

It is sad to find that some people are only "fair weather friends." You expressed this very well here.
