Unexplained

by †Rachel†   Jan 2, 2005

The fire burns and the rain falls out the window
They all look content but they can’t be
It’s impossible to escape now from the…monsters
Escape the invisibility noone sees.

The steaming coffee and tea spilt on the top
The don’t care but they should
It’s impossible to not know what’s going on
I scream out and they don’t hear me…I don’t think they could

The fire cracks and they sink into their chairs
She looks at me and half smiles, half frowns
It’s impossible to know what she’s thinking
I hide behind the figure of a soul as it drowns

The coffee aroma circulates the room with the burning wood
Am I alone here? Can they see me? Do they know?
It’s impossible to feel what I do alone
Over the final hair sunk, I show

All of them turn round, all disconcerted with my presence
I’m not alone, they see me, they know!!!
It’s impossible to feel what they’re feeling
They turn around, I follow.

Their heads turn back, the floorboards creak
They didn’t see me, they don’t know. I’m alone
It’s impossible
No it’s not
