Look at the failing existence
of the person that you could be.
Look at the swearing noone,
the one you protected from me.
Look at the person you’re saved from,
forever, ever more.
Look at the person you escaped from,
the nothing lying one from four.
Look at the hands covered in blood,
the key away from life.
Look at the hatred in the soul
reaching out for that knife
Look at what you’re protected from,
then look right back at you.
Look at the person you become,
the everlasting and the new.
Look at more than what you were,
look at you and me.
Look once more and realise
that finally you’re free.
Don’t look back once you walked away
to show you have no fear.
Look back at me one last time
and realise I’m your mirror.
