How I wonder what you are
Up above the world so high
Like a diamond in the sky
Twinkle, Twinkle little star
How I wonder what you are.

Star Light, Star Bright
First star I see tonight
I wish I may, I wish I might
Have the wish I wish tonightâ??

I closed my eyes and made a wish
While reciting this nursery rhyme
I wished that you didn't die, but
I hated to see you suffer all the time

When you were at your worst I also felt sick,
I had shared so much with such a wonderful person
There should be more great people like you
And then you continued to worsen.

I never wanted you to unclasp my hand from yours
You were in agony, yet I never wanted for you to die
I was one of the ten grandchildren you left behind
I keep asking God why he picked you, why!

While looking at past photographs
Of you and grandpa many years before
You had such simple elegance, beauty
You had many who did adore

Nothing of that splendor is left
Since you have passed away
Just the dresses, diamonds, purses and gloves
None of your beauty that was like a bouquet

Despite our family feuds, I always enjoyed you there
I am glad that I helped you while I could
If I could only pick you from my dreams
And hug you for real, I always would.

I am glad you could bring such positive things
To your grave, like your recipes and grace
Your morals and values also
Not to mention your warm embrace

Now you are my sweet guardian angel
In these heavens in the clouds above
You have defiantly earned your white wings
Along with the halo atop your head showing love

Now here are some carnations for you
In the colors of red and white
This is what you wished to have after death
This is what I hold close to my heart, so tight

    I especially liked these lines:

    Starting with a nursery rhyme gets the mind thinking.

    That was great, I love the way you express yourself, not many can as the way you do, keep it up, I know what its like, I lost my grandpa. But sadly, I had kept myself detatched from him, afraid of the hurt I would face once he was gone, now all i feel is regret, but not loss or miss. How can you miss something you've never had?
