is like no world at all

Your sparkling eyes

As I listen to the wind howl
and I see the gate open wide

For my attraction turned to a crush
and my crush to an obsession
I still haven’t gotten over

But when I leaned in for a kiss
on that one fateful night
You pulled away
and then ran from my sight
I cried for ages
but it only made the pain worse
And then the next thing I remember
was seeing the nurse

Her eyes told me
all that was needed to be said
I closed my eyes
as gently I laid down my head
But it didnt matter all that much
for all along I was never alive
The whole time
I was dead on the inside
