Heartfelt Memories

by ShatteredAngel   Jan 3, 2005

A silent tear slid down her cheek
as she stood at the window and cried
She watched as he drove away down the street
without even saying goodbye
She remembered all the days
and all the memories that they had shared
And the good times and the also the bad times
when he had really cared
She sniffled as she turned away
and as a million thoughts flew through her mind
There had to be other guys out there for her
even if they weren't as kind
She was sure that the feelings would slowly fade away
and the way she thought of him
But she didn't want them to
because it was his heart that she wanted to win

But all dreams come true eventually
and everyone has their day
But not all people have the chance
to get what they want to say
So speak up when you love someone
because if you don't you might break their heart
And then once you've done that
you'll tear their world apart.
But all dreams come true eventually
and everyone has their day
But not all people have the chance
to get what they want to say

He drove away in silence
and wiped the tears away from his eyes
He knew what he just did was wrong
but he didn't want to lie
He knew he must have hurt her
but if he hadn't told her it would have been bad
Because even though he loved her
he knew she would soon become sad
He knew that there were other boys out there
and that soon she would be in love
And soon she would realize
that he wasn't sent from up above
He wished that his feelings would go away
and the way he thought of her
But he couldn't stop thinking about
how in love they once were

But all dreams come true eventually
and everyone has their day
But not all people have the chance
to get what they want to say
So speak up when you love someone
because if you don't you might break their heart
And then once you've done that
you’ll tear their world apart.
But all dreams come true eventually
and everyone has their day
But not all people have the chance
to get what they want to say
