The Perfect Body

by Janice Brown~©~   Jan 3, 2005

Society thinks the perfect body is
Having long tanned legs
And not being fat or big-boned
But being as thin as pegs

Society thinks the perfect body is
Having plastic surgery and big tits
And having clear and plastic skin
Without the pimples and zits.

Society thinks the perfect body is
Having a size 2 waist
And they think your beautiful
If you have a Barbie doll face

Society thinks the perfect body is
Having the best looking hair
But the truth is the perfect body is
having everything there.

~~ I wrote this because i have like becoming anorexic because of the pressure put on us women to have the perfect body, i really hated my body and when my boyf made me realise that its not outside but the inside that matters i learnt to love myself and others more!~~

~~BE BOLD BE BIG BE DIFFERENT BE YOU!!!!~~

Great job! and I'm so happy to hear that you found that beauty is from the inside... sometimes "societies" most beautiful people are ugly because of thier personalities. Well keep up your good writing and you faith in God, He loves us just the way we are and made us this way for a reason. thanks for commenting on my poem it means alot!

It is the inside that matters not the outside. If thats all a guy wants is perfection then he is shallow.Glad to hear ur boyfirend told u the truth. Exellent job on this poem and so true.

Thank you everyone for ur uplifting comments
Thanks to Chloe Lim who goes to my Sunday Skool and all the other girls thank you for constantly telling me I'm beautiful and that i can sing good (dunno if they r telling the truth about that) God made us all unique but he made us all beautiful in our own ways
