The Truth

by Luke   Jan 4, 2005

And I find myself,
Locked up inside myself,
Nothing changing on this shelf,
No way to reach that shelf

And you hold a gun to my head,
Never was quite using my head,
Felt the weight of the lead,
As you shot the hot lead

And I could never quite understand,
so ask me again,
Never was much use,
so show me the truth

And I never heard a word that you said,
so ask me again,
Always wanted some proof,
so show me the truth

And you told me your plan,
I never thought of a plan,
I asked you to stay,
Never thought you would stay

You saw my best intentions,
Nothing but my worst intentions,
Never got me to say,
What I always wanted to say

It's a bit repetitive, But really good. I think it has a hidden gospel message, that's why it deserves to be re-submitted, & rid of the jealous 3.0 vote....

    A definite 5/5
