Lonely sitting here.
Wishing that you'd call.
I hope you haven't forgot,
Your my best friend of all!!

I know we lose touch sometimes,
I hope this isn't it,
I'm here on the computer,
Lonely, now I sit.

From Golden Girls, to CD toss,
Absolut to Gin,
From your strange mixes with Kool-Aid,
That always made us grin!

From getting married, to having a child,
From losing touch with all others,
From fighting with strangers on Patton Ave,
To fighting with our mothers.

From laughing at little jokes,
To letting out a howl,
To making fun of little things,
That make all others scowl.

To talking of the patch,
To fending off our apartments,
To taking up for one another...
Due to someones rude comments.

Listening as the other is in pain,
Trying to cheer them up,
To constantly hearing my little girl,
Run around screaming "DUCKS!"

Only you Christy understands this poem,
I could go on for days...
About how our friendship has grown,
From a constant buzz or haze.

You are the best friend I got,
A sister I've never had.
You look for the good in me,
And don't dwell on all the bad.

I hope you know how much you mean,
And how much I truly miss,
The late night phone calls, the solitaire,
And talking of total bliss!

I love you girl! Please don't stray!
I know these past few have been tuff,
I just hope our friendship is ok,
Without you it would be plain ruff!!!

So when you think somethings wrong,
Or feel like I don't care,
Understand when I made the promise,
I MEANT ID ALWAYS BE THERE!

Friends forever, till the end,
They don't make them better than you.....
I never knew what friend I'd get,
When we first drank a few.

You've never turned against me,
I just hope I haven't let you down,
I know I'd never be the same without you,
And my smile would be a frown.

Please accept my apology,
If I have wronged you in any way,
And know in your heart forever,
From you, I'll never stray!!!!!

Who could ask for a more devoted friend, having their selflessness described, recited, in this poem?
You offer the greatest gift, immortal friendship through these words.
Homer was admired for his legendary humanism, and I see your description of friendship as delightful.
    Keep on writing Tanya ;)
