Sands of Time

by Lipton   Jan 6, 2005

Everyday, you live your life,
Letting chances pass you by,
Shrugging off the smallest strife,
And just leave and say, "I tried."
Well let me tell you that Time doesn't wait,
What you do now decides your fate.

For the Sands of Time will forever fall,
Through the glass you can hear its call.
Like dust in the wind our lives can change,
And you can be the only one to blame.

What you do today can make your tomorrow,
And Time is cruel, with nothing to borrow.
Your life can change in the shortest second,
And will you be there to greet the next?
For I know full well that Time doesn't wait,
What you've done decides your fate.

For the Sands of Time will forever fall,
Through the glass you can hear its call.
Like dust in the wind our lives can change,
And you can be the only one to blame.

The sand is running short, Time is running out,
So start your planning, dispel all doubt.
Sand falls through the hands of the idle,
But clench your fist, and make life worth-while.

For the Sands of Time don't wait for men,
Listen for the call, you'll know then,
That a life has ended, as others are changed,
Could you be the one to blame?

that was really awesome, it's so true, people dont think often enough about what time can do to you, and they stubbornly dont care until it's too late...
