Reborn

by Johnny Marlin 2   Jan 6, 2005

Why and when
Who and where
It doesn't matter
Because you don't care

I try so damn hard
But it is way to late
This can't be helped
I'm reborn from hate

I'm sorry I'm cold
But this needs to be said
And I can't help but think
That I'm better off dead

Please forgive me
For starting this war
The pain consumes me
Straight to my core

So just walk away
Give up the hope
For this is one thing
In which I can not cope

Don't try to return
I can't hold your hand
You've driven me insane
I've broken the strand

Just walk away
I will help you no longer
Don't come crying to me
You'll have to be stronger

I'm sorry I have grown cold to the world, but it seems this is the only way to survive now a days. You help someone, give them second and third chances, and all they do is stab you in the back... All I truly want is trust and respect, but sometimes that is to much to ask. I'm done. I will no longer be just a shoulder to cry on, then be stabbed by the same person. I have given up...

You're a great poet. Easy flowing lines, perfect structure, nice work. You remind me of someone. Can't put my finger on it.. but someday I will.

You're aware the 7th of this month was the National, I'm Not Going To Take It Anymore Day?

Well, moving on slightly, I actually had a horrid feeling of deja vu.. but I've searched my brain, and I have no reminiscence of any such thing. For you to write a poem to spark such feelings in a reader is a powerful thing. Don't ever give up on a thing.

And I hope to read from you soon.

what you said is the sad sad truth, people suck.

most of the good people i have met on the world have been on this site, so im pretty sure this poem wasn't aimed at them(us) as much as it was people around you.

great poem, very deep, and from what i can tell very true.

wonderful poem! i know what you mean about giving up because so many people betray you and it doesnt matter how many chances you give them they do the same thing to you over and over again. but i've learned something: people never change unless they honestly want to. its my new quote i made up last week because of something similar that happened. i noticed you changed your name, born from hate, i really like it. i hope you have a very nice day.
