A knife

by ElegantlyWasted   Jan 6, 2005

A knife so sharp and deadly
Can empower even the strong

A knife so long and slender
Does sing one tempting song

A knife so quick and silent
Will play with any heart

A knife so cold and desolate
Make arms become an art

A knife so bitter and twisted
Could make you go insane

A knife so venomous and helpless
Will defeat you in every game

A knife so hostile and violent
You don't even stand a chance

A knife so piercing and painful
Puts you in an hypnotic trance

A knife so worthless and unfriendly
Will slowly beat you down

A knife so stupid and cunning
Carves without a sound

A knife holds no purpose
But always entices you

A knife is a self expression
That you can't make it through

-I don't cut myself, it's just this thing so many people do....always in my head- ;/

I really LOVE this poem. The last two lines are by far the best. Something that I knew in the back of my mind, but could never put into words if that makes sense. Kind of gave me a sense of relief that someone can understand. It's a really great poem. Well done. Take care :)
