Just a girl

by ElegantlyWasted   Jan 6, 2005

Her still reflection shudders
In the puddle on the ground
For those few moments only
The world makes not a sound

She doesn't see a woman,
Instead a smeared and fading blur
This is all another painting
Of the darkness within her

The rain slowly ripples
Her cold and broken face,
And clouds stain her vision
Of this imperfect place

This lonely, ghastly figure
Is never worth the time
No one comes searching
Because hostility is all they find

But she is just a girl,
Another person just like you
And inside of her is goodness
If only someone would see that to

Instead she stands alone
Because her reflection fled
Life to her is pointless,
She'd much rather be dead

As she kicks the puddle,
Her final tear will drop
She only wanted loving
And all this abuse to stop

-Again i find myself writing about the weather? I guess it is about myself or someone a lot like me...-
