The truth...

by Shaina Ahenger   Jan 9, 2005

You just don't seem to understand,
That a gift worth a million dollars,
Doesn't amount to the love,
That you have never given me.
Your promises were always lies,
Your tears were just sympathy.
The years I spent without you,
Were the years I missed you most.
I was little, I didn't understand,
But now I see the truth,
Of the choices you've chosen.
Over me and everyone else.
You say you care so much,
But yet you still don't fail,
To hurt me again.
If you seen the tears that fell,
That only you alone caused,
When you were gone.
You would see the pain,
I've felt because of just one person,
That I am suppose to look up to.
Say I love you "dad" and mean it.
You're suppose to be there,
If someone hurts me.
Instead you're the one hurting me,
And I don't understand why?
I'm your only daughter,
And I've loved you unconditionally,
Until I realized,
It hasn't meant anything in my life...
