Guilty As Charged

by ashley   Jan 10, 2005

All the fighting and yelling,
Is bringing me down,
They say moods are contagious,
Maybe that's why everyone frowns...

Everyone argues instead of talking,
People give cold shoulders once-in-a-while,
And if you walked into my life and blinked,
You'd miss the only moment that I smile...

All the tempers start flaring,
People start to throw fits,
They say words they don't mean,
Because they know where it hits...

Hate gathers like dark clouds,
Tears fall just like rain,
Screams echo like thunder,
A perfect storm of pain...

Nobody can look into a mirror,
Because the reflection might cause it to break,
With the weight of guilt and sadness,
That has no way to escape...

Who's guilty for starting the fighting,
For all the mess and all the pain,
And for the arguments that start each night,
That we go through again and again...

I'm guilty as charged,
For being the cause of the above,
For making everyone angry,
And destroying everyone's love...

I'm guilty as charged,
For causing the arguments each night,
As my entire family grows apart,
With each and every fight...

Maybe if I was gone,
Thing fighting would die away,
I don't know of this for certain,
But we may find out someday...

my favorite lines

Hate gathers like dark clouds,
Tears fall just like rain,
Screams echo like thunder,
A perfect storm of pain...

I'm so proud of them
