My Book of Rhymes

by DMG   Jan 10, 2005

Before I go to sleep each night
In my book of rhymes I write,
Relieving myself of distress
And bad feelings I possess.
By doing so, when I sleep,
My mind has no reason to weep.
So I can be calm and serene
And dream only peaceful dreams.
My book of rhymes is my escape
From that day’s mental rape.
And now I want to share my rhymes
Here is the insight into my mind.

My Book of Rhymes:

pg. 1:

Tears are a language known universal
Everyone understands with their dispersal

When we cry, though we speak different words
The same meaning is taken and heard

A puddle forms under the feet on which we stand
It’s a man-made lake on Nature’s raped land

So think about that, we don’t have it the worst
We came and destroyed the beauty of Mother Earth

pg. 2:

And damn, Japan’s sending out Kamikaze
At the same time, Hitler’s recruiting his Nazis
And the media is a premature paparazzi
Exploiting the murders and Hitler’s saying “Grazi”

pg. 3:

In war, too many lives are lost
But still they say we’re going to fight at any cost

But tell me, who in the hell would lose a brother
And not give a damn watching tears cry from their mother

It's not worth losing a soul, brother, or friend
So I say we end this war before more lives end

So please speak out, it’s the only way we’ll win
Let’s unite and let the revolution begin

pg. 4:

Like 2pac said, “Now only we can make a change
It’s up to us to clean up the streets it ain’t the same.”

So why don’t we try to do this in the spirit of
A lost emotion that we used to know called love

pg. 5:

You don’t have to be Thai to make a donation
And help this nation to begin its recreation
Because in our hearts we feel the pain too
It’s apparent Mother Nature wanted us to pay our dues

The End

Every night I take the time
To write in my book of rhymes
What you have just read above
Are only five excerpts of
Some writings that I have done
At the time of the setting sun
To take pressure off of my head
As I try to sleep in bed
And I advise you do the same
To ease some of your mental pain
So if you ever have the time
Begin your own book of rhymes
