The Lovers

by Scarlette   Jan 11, 2005

The moonlight shines and I remember the reflection of the two lovers
Walking hand in hand
It is motionless in my mind as they walked along the shore
The sea of enchanting crystals so pure
They surrendered to the mood
The pebbles made echoes in the deserted pool
Simulating whispers of constant vows
But she is steadily left all alone
Where is his hand, the promises are missing, unknowingly torn
She glances back and sees the footprints still there
Old patterns of love still kindle the air
When I remember the face on the girl
So broken and lost
I see my reflection in that sea of crystals
Along the same, empty shore
