Broken

I am lying here but I lie forgotten
Everything I have lies around me, now rotten
All life’s seeped away as I lie here alone
The only thing I can do is lie here and groan

The pain is unbearable, I struggle to lie here
Mt last wish to finally disappear
I find no magic star; my wish has not come true
I have no strength, I can’t follow it through

I meant to see them together again
I can’t now as my blood must drain
And it is, although it is slow
It won’t be long; I was dealt a large blow

I find my breathing alters
And finally it falters
I’m still lying here, I have not moved
But the part that was me has been removed.
