Comprehension

Beyond you’re comprehension
Is something I might mention

To confuse you
And dement you

Watch everyone be conformed
You wish you had been warned
You thought that you were special
And everything you try to change
Is everything that still remains
Beyond your comprehension

Everyday in everyway
You’re being changed
You mind your words
And sit in place
Watch as everyone else takes the stage

Your time has passed
And you’ve been asked
Stop acting up and be your age
Don’t discriminate
Nor abbreviate
Everything must be heard
We understand you think it’s cool
And don’t want to be considered a fool
But you know that everyone’s the same
Despite how much we try to change
Conformation is its name

It might be sometimes you’re on your own
But when you find somewhere to go
That person you were looking for
Was looking for you too
All alone just like you
With nothing to do
Just wait for you

And wait until you understand
You’re too young to be mad
And if all you are is something sad
Then find someone to make you glad

It may be hard or something worse
I hope you understand
Then again
It could be something quite beyond your comprehension
That is all I think I’ll mention
