Fly Away

by lisa marie   Jan 16, 2005

Dwell in your place, your existence is fading
Ideas are wrong and your words are so guilty.
The world is here, walking away.
Your innocent look so simple and plain.

Smile ahead at the bright shining sun,
Softly singing quiet songs.
Play in your backyard,
Dirty your hands.
Ignore your rejection and follow ahead.

Don't fall behind,
Or get lost in your thoughts.
Tie your beliefs into a knot.

Stand on your arguements,
Control your feelings.
Take your emotions by the arm.

And walk with me.
Walk with me through this never ending fate
Climb with me up the tallest tree.
And fly away from this cruel world.
Fly away with your hand in mine and no looking back.

Excellent job, I really enjoyed this poem. I wish I could just fly away... I almost moved across the country with about a days notice, I wish I had. Take care and thanks for the comment
