Her graceful depart

by ElegantlyWasted   Jan 20, 2005

Her dreams tell a story
Of the girl inside the skin
How so desperately she wishes
For this pain to die within

Her image paints a picture
Of the past that haunts her head
Why did everyone convict her?,
And pray that she be dead?

Her frown reflects her pain
And the hurt that she was caused
Because of all this abuse
She sees herself as flawed

Her scars show all weakness
And the falseness she feels
But no matter how hard she tries
The bruises just won't heal

Her family breaks her heart
With every hostile word
And no amount of loving
Will bring her voice to be heard

Her hurt lives to be killed,
As her tears fall like rain
All because of these people,
Who cause her endless pain

Her life is just a fantasy
Of broken dreams and shattered hearts
She can only hold onto memories
And make her graceful depart

-My first poem in weeks. I realize it's not good, but i had to write it down...Au Revior-
