Abandoned Loving

by Ð맆îñ¥   Jan 20, 2005

I remember rounding the corner
Waiting, waiting, never stopping
I watched for you to catch my surprise
Laugh at the joke, as usual

I never found you; you hid too well
The game never ended
you lie in a dark sheltered place
All alone, waiting to be found

You’re waiting. I never meant to lose you
You should have been here forever
Like the love I always hold
My heart is on the table, full of holes

They whisper your name
They drink to you, tell me why
Have I really lost you, are you never coming back
Have you slipped behind that curtain out of sight?

I am standing. I feel alone
I’m missing you, all on my own
Please don’t leave, I need you here
I miss you mummy, wipe away my tear.
