The Writer

by DeludedHonesty   Jan 21, 2005

My eyes scan the screen,
I think to myself,
"If I write about all these people,
Who am I?"

I realize that I,
Can be anyone,
With different qualities,
Showing at different times.

I can be a hero,
Protecting my friends,
Standing up for what's right,
Full of courage.

I can be a mastermind,
Cracking codes and
Solving any problem,
With a clear head.

I can be a hopeless flirt,
Batting my eyelashes,
And flipping my hair,
A picture of confidence.

I can be a damsel in distress,
Crying for help,
From my tower of fear,
Alone and scared.

I can be a hopeless romantic,
Writing love poems,
And swooning over beautiful things,
With my heart full of love.

I am a writer,
With many ideas floating around,
I can be anyone at any time,
That is who I am.
