No One To Fault

by rachel   Jan 22, 2005

Turning, spinning and frantic, here and there
The world is the instigator, there’s no life and no air
Clawing, clenching and scared, we grasp onto what’s here
Are we the predator, or the one’s instilled with fear
Confused, lost and miserable, figure out what we can be
Is this an illusion, is it just one big conspiracy

Unaware, unfair and naïve, obsessed with all we can obtain
No one to object and we’re greedy I’m certain
Predator, hunted and sold, both enemies and victims
Fighting among each other, using harsh criticism
Painful, cruel and unfeeling, get on by walking on others
We never think to ourselves we’re sisters and brothers

Damaging, corruptive and unstable, the earth and all
If not eroded in time, it’s us who start the fall
Deathly, morbid and grotesque, we kill what we received
Nobody else to blame, it’s time the truth is perceived
Cold, lifeless and lonely, the greatness we held in a vault
We’ve ruined it all, thinking we’re not to fault
