Teenager

by Aysha   Jan 30, 2005

My daughter’s growing up
My mother’s becoming annoying,

I think I’m losing her
Why can’t she understand?

You used to come to me for advice
I can solve my problems alone

Why don’t you listen to me anymore?
Why should I, you don’t?!

I’m just trying to protect you…
You don’t have to, thank you

At the end I guess you’ll leave me
That’s not true, I won’t!!

I feel you’re lost without me
Don’t worry I can manage

In my eyes you’re still a kid, dear
I’m a teenager; I’m not a kid anymore, mom
