Suicide

Calling out
For no one to hear
Just to assure myself
Nobody is near,

As I take my blade
And pull back my sleeve
I study my wrists
The way only to leave,

I clasp the blade tight
And bring it down fast
Tears trickle with
Memories of my past

The blood gushes
And flows so free
I lie down, at peace:
I’ve finally escaped my misery.
