My Faults

by lisa marie   Feb 1, 2005

With every thought I have of you
And all the words I say
Nothing compares to the feelings
That I’ve kept inside for way too long

And every time I lay there,
Wishing you were there
As my love for you unfolds
My eyes begin to water

And memories relax in the back of my mind
Twisting and turning, ready to burst.
Holding on to what I shouldn’t have
But I smile in reassurance just for a moment.

You are all I need right now
A necessity in this empty life
But I’m living in my faults, full of guilt
Slightly alive and almost dead.

And every time I lay there,
In the dark without a clue
My heart is fixated on you
Bringing me to tears

And every day reminding myself that,
You’re revolving around me,
Growing in my life
And slowly becoming my world

Standing in a crowded room
Adoring your every move
You\'re standing out
All that i notice.

And every night I lay there.
Tucked inside my blankets
Deep feelings and regretful dreams
I’m crying.
