The key to my mind

by Johnny Mac   Feb 1, 2005

In the center of my world
Theirs a portrait of a girl
She is trapped within my mind
Where she lives, but where am I?

She comes towards me with out a sound
I try to run, but my feet won’t leave the ground
She grabs my arms and grips them tight
She takes control without a fight

This shameful person I despise
With a loss for words and empty eyes
I search for anywhere to hide
To get this girl off my mind

I run and run and run away
Looked behind me to see she stayed
She was as far as far could be
For a moment I was free
Free to find that she was standing next to me

And so I am destined with this curse
She’s in my head, hey it could be worse
But just like me she will never be free
I’ve locked her in and thrown away the key
