True promise...

by Sarah-Louise   Feb 2, 2005

A single rose,
For every tear,
He ever caused,
When she was near.
But now she's gone,
And with her last breath,
She whispered so softly,
I'll love you 'till death.
So as the coffin was lowered,
A tear rolled down his cheek,
He did not speak one word,
For his life now looked bleek.
He had loved her with all,
He did have in his heart,
And had promised her happiness,
And that they'd never part.
As he sat there trembling,
A gun place to his head,
He remembered all of the lovely things,
She'd ever done or said.
For he was so determined,
To make his promise true,
He took his life so horridly,
Like he felt he had to.
All his family and friends,
Remembered all he had gave,
As they stood there sobbing,
At the side of his grave.
