Weight of the World

by Lipton   Feb 5, 2005

There's too much that's happening,
I can't stop my world from spinning,
Everything is breaking out,
Everything is crashing down.
Both of my hands are full of troubles,
As I balance the world upon my shoulders.

Closing my eyes, and wishing the night,
I fear I'm forever, inflicted with blight.

Keep secrets from that person,
Stop the knife on that one.
Everything is lost to disruption,
Everything is cast to corruption.
Fighting everyone else's battles, is tiring after while,
And there's nowhere to run, I'm condemned to linger.

My breath is getting shorter,
I can't do this any longer.
Does stopping death, and easing pain,
Warrant me theirs? Is this some gain?
I can't do this, alone, everyday,
I'm only human... there's just no way......
