If love was

by *Amanda*   Feb 6, 2005

If love was a raging storm
I would take off my coat and dance
If love promised to never scorn
I would always hold your hand.

If love was a river that always ran deep
I would let myself go, until the bottom kissed my feet
If love was a valley that ran on for miles
I would sit and stare into your eyes all day, for hours and hours.

If love was the first taste of spring
Or the last breath of fall
I would be there always, waiting for your call.
If love was the bluest of blue skys
I wouldn't be afraid to let you say good-bye
If love was the ocean
And I dropped in one tear
I would sit in the sand all day, waiting for it to reappear.
If love was a fragile butterfly
I would handle it with care
If love was gentle
It would even be fair.

If love was the absolute presence
Of undying passion
I would love you.

If only love was less frightening
If only I believed
That I could love you,
And you could love me.
Then maybe I would.

Love is not the beautiful rain,
Or the deepest rivers of all,
Love is a jagged cliff
Urging us to fall.
And I'm afraid.

    Oh I liked this:
"If love was a raging storm
I would take off my coat and dance" <<< I'd do that too...hehe...

On this one you should delet the extra "and I"... But if that was meant there ... sry for being picky... =Plol...
"And I and I dropped in one tear"

    This one was very lovely:
"If love was the absolute presence
Of undying passion I would love you."

--Well Done-- I hope that you keep on writing, cuz it's awesome!! =D Great Work!!!
