The road

Life is a long road,
and you carry a heavy load,
everything can seem too much to carry,
and there are times you get so tired and weary,
and even though you have people to help you,
people to help you pull through,
it can seem sometimes too hard to hold,
people say that its getting old.
people say that you'll never realize,
that you can see through another's eyes.
people say that their bad friends,
but they will realize that in the end,
maybe they are and maybe they aren't,
maybe they understand, maybe they wont,
maybe they love you, maybe they don’t,
but in the end your love is never pretend,
that no matter what,
you love them, so you'll never give up.
you hate them for standing too tall,
you started to cut, thats all,
your trying to stop,
but they insist on watching you drop,
drop to your knees,
begging them please,
don’t leave me,
please believe me,
I’ve made mistakes,
but do you know how much energy it takes?
to try and cry,
but you cant so you just try to die,
just to end the unending pain,
stop the torture, stop the rain,
but the more you stop it the more it comes,
and even though now you have unending love,
people are hurting, bringing you down,
and you feel as if your going to drown,
but as much as you hate it,
you go through it,
and hold onto yourself,
take your feelings off that shelf,

and realize that all you need is you.
