Coughing Up Love

by Terri Lynn   Feb 11, 2005

I've been sick and twisted for many days
Everything's covered with a permanent haze
Tears erode my hidden face
My tongue is sharp, I wield my mace

Because I'm coughing up your love
I think I've had about enough
I need to get you out of my system
You think that blood would be rough

How often I watch the outside world
And how you never realize that I've been hurled
Into this tainted crowd of pointless glam
When you should know thats not who I am

So I'm coughing up your love
I can't seem to keep it down
I need to get you out of my system
You can't stay around

You make me ill and I can't shake it
I've tried being well, but I can't fake it
I've had enough, and I won't take it
So I'm coughing up your love
