Forgiven

by ŦōüċhÌήğ ỀνĬĽ   Feb 11, 2005

I sit here waiting
Not knowing what for
I sit here watching
As you appear at the door

I come from the window
And soar into your loving embrace
Tears rain from my eyes
As I look into your reassuring face

It’s been, felt like forever
Since I last saw those eyes
The ones were I knew you loved me
The gates to your soul inside

You take my hand
And gently place me on the bed
Sit next to me and try
To explain those hateful things you once said

You tell me your sorry
But I put my finger to your lip
“ It doesn’t matter anymore”
As your tears slowly start to slip

I kiss every tear from your cheek
Run my hand through your hair
I lean my head onto yours
Knowing that you really do care

You bring me close & hug me near
“I only wish you knew”
Softly whispering in my ear
“How much I truly love you”
