Goodbye Son; Goodbye Mother

by Todd   Feb 14, 2005

"Goodbye Son,
I'm on my way
Leaving now
I can't delay."

The mother prayed
As she was lifted
From the car wreck
That broke her back

He got the phone call
That changed his life
He rushed to the hospital
To say goodbye to his father's wife

The doctor said:
"She wont live through this
Two days at most"
As he glanced at his list

The mother and son
Were left alone
To share old memorys
Of home sweet home

One day past
He sit beside her bed
As she faded away
This is what he said:

"Goodbye Mother
I'll go on my way
Now, you go meet God
Don't delay!"
