What If...

by Jesslyn   Feb 15, 2005

When you drag the blade across your skin,
What if it doesn't go far enough in?
But what if you do suceed?
What if it will forever bleed?

What if you change your mind?
You can't leave the choice behind.
You've already cut it deep.
Now just pray that your life you get to keep.

One day you might think it was stupid.
What if you wish you didn't do what
you did?
What about the tears you shed?
Along with the blood oh so red?

All those nights you cried,
Wishing you had died.
They weren't worth it.
Don't you wish you could forget?

You can't erase the scar.
Now everything seems so far.
What if one day you wished you weren't there?
What if the next day you weren't
just because life's unfair.
