I'm Trying

I know every day can't be perfect,
But I wish it could be so;
Loving you each and every second,
Nurturing our relationship, helping it to grow.

I sometimes try too hard,
And I'm frustrated when I feel as if it's never enough;
It's my own insecurities barking,
And I need to learn to not sweat the small stuff.

But when I love you as I do,
I can't help worrying if you are in a happy state;
Trying too hard, I might be, but I'll never QUIT,
Trying to make you feel better, it's my oath, my personal mandate.
