Crying In shadows

Alone and cold
from everyone else, set apart
with no grieving partner
left with an eternal broken heart

in the darkness i lurk
unfamiliar is the light
depression trails behind me
happiness is out of sight

no shoulder to weep on
isolated i live
no one here to love me
no one to forgive

no where to go
so here i will remain
stuck in purgatory
living in constant pain

my conscience says to stay
i am to wait
until i see the light
and peruse my fate

no care in my life
no one to wipe away my tears
no loving arms to hold me
no body here to fight my fears

unseen am i
in the darkness Im crying
almost nonexistent
young but rapidly dying

lonely and deteriorating
sent to the gallows
pulling myself apart
living in dark shadows

pleading with death to take me
yet holding on as best i can
i want life but Im living in death
and now for eternity I AM...
