Kept Locked Away

by Molly Elizabeth   Feb 18, 2005

She was doing so well
she smiled all the time,
everything was so perfect...
except it was a lie.

She was so beautiful,
she had a contagious laugh
to the world she had everything,
in reality... she had nothing.

Everyday, after school
she'd run straight for her room
lock herself inside
to finally let her pain out and cry.

Nobody would ever see the scars on her wrists, none would ever notice the pain in her eyes.
Everyday she does her make-up and hair... and forces on a smile,
forcing back her tears not to cry.
On the outside shes so perfect,
but she'd dieing inside.

She's been through hell lately
but shes so afraid to say,
afraid of how people will look at her, afraid that things would change.

So many people look up to her,
rely she won't mess up,
so she'll just stay inside her room
her pain she'll always keep locked away...
