Come Into The Light

by ♥-Sharon Ardern-♥   Feb 19, 2005

I watched the world
Behind a window pane
Inside, my world was crying
Our worlds are never the same

I see you all
Smiling, laughing away
And I wish I could be there
I wished it every day

But I never got out
I stayed stuck
Behind my window
Drowning in my bad luck

And then I saw you
You turned to see
You touched the window
Trying to reach me

You told me to fight
Gave me a reason to believe
Told me I didn’t have to stay there
That I could leave

You showed me a side
To life I’d never seen
It looked too good to be true
Better than where I’d ever been

You showed me your grace
And it grew in me, too
And today the window shattered
And I sit in the sun, next to you

And now when I look around
And see other windows, I go near
Checking to see if someone’s trapped
So I can guide them from their fear.
