Inside she bleeds

by ElegantlyWasted   Feb 20, 2005

Inside she is empty,
Cold as ice below
Her face reflects beauty,
But pain she cannot show

Smiles so perfectly placed,
Upon her shattered skin
Nights go by - freezing,
Hardening the hurt within

Peoples sharpened words,
Try to scratch at the glass
But her heart has been frozen,
By the burdens of her past

Her eyes glazed over red,
From the gouging at her face
Your laughing pushes her further,
Someone take her from this place

Look behind her figure,
And see why shes alone
Try to understand her plea,
Repair her broken home

Comfort her loveless heart,
Because that is what she needs
Don't listen when she says "I'm fine"
I know inside she bleeds.
