I'm done in this life
There's nothing here
I have nothing to live for
Nothing to hold dear

Time to lift my roots
Sprout my wings
Find the strength
To follow my dreams

Get my quill
Make my mark
Light leave me
Give way to dark

No bright light
Shines upon me
Just darkness to wander
Nothing to see

Darkness is better
When i can fly
Better than the roots
Before i did die

    I liked the resemblence you made to a tree, personifacation of sorts..the imagery of someone being stuck there, and so desperatley trying to break those 'roots' of attachment. Well done on yet another great write.
