I Am Me

by Tainted Butterfly   Feb 21, 2005

I am a bee
That buzzes
Noticed
They flee
I am me.
I am a spirit
In the wings of a butterfly
The flutter
Against the sky
I am me.
I am the wind
In anger and frustration
Blowing
Where am I going?
I am not showing.
I am me.
I am the sun
Shining
The clouds
With silver lining.
I am me.
I am the night
Quiet, sighing.
Light gone
Dying
I am me.
I am a broken heart
tears
Dreams lost
Among the years.
I am me.
I am the animal
shot, killed.
The hunter
thrilled.
I am me.
I am the hurt child
cheeks damp,
Before I smiled.
I am Me.
I am the earth
Thrown away
With no worth.
I am me.
Who am I?
Who are you?
I will not lie.
I am me.
